Upcoming Beaver days

Wednesday, September 5
Saturday, September 8
Wednesday, September 12
Wednesday, September 19
Wednesday, September 26

Come on out for any or all of them! We're partway through the last level of
the Dome and will be finishing the enclosure in September! For those who like
to haul rocks, we need to build a drystone retaining wall along the edge of
the new drip irrigation field. For those who prefer lighter duty, we need
painting and other projects done as well. See you at the Blessed Beavers work
parties! (Note all work parties start by 8:00 am and usually conclude around 3
pm; but you can arrive anytime. Free food, drinks, and Beaver Bucks!)

Please note there will be NO WORK PARTY on Sunday Sept. 23, due to conflict
with Magickal Mountain Mabon.

We'll get started at 8:00 am (you can arrive later if you need to) and work
as long as feels good. Free cold beverages and lunch, and $35 in Beaver Bucks
for those who work 6 hours.

Ladder teams will be trimming and taping seams, and high teams will be
putting on the rubberized roofing compound and installing more panels.

Fundraising
We reached our goal of $32,000 for the land fund in 2006. Our goal for
2007 is $44,000. We are not on target, or even close. We have only about
$7,000 so far this year.
What can you do to help? Obviously, if you can sit down and write a nice,
generous check, that would be great. But not all of us can do that. You can
also volunteer your time, attend a class, bring a friend to class, put up
flyers for classes, or arrange a fund raiser.
We can pay off the bank mortgage and save about $60,000 in interest over the
next few years. Once we buy out the remaining staff shares
(interest-free!), then the whole thing will belong to Ardantane, Inc. – and to all of us in
the Pagan community, and to our children, and our descendants.

What: Tarot for the Spirit
Sponsor: School of Magic & Witchcraft
When: Sat-Sun October 6-7

Where: Ardantane
Instructors: Starweaver

This class is intended for people who are already comfortable reading tarot
for themselves or others, and would like to go deeper into the symbolism of
the cards.
The class explores tarot as a spiritual/psychological system, using concepts
from the Renaissance, Occult, and Modern periods of tarot interpretation.
The relationship of the tarot to qabalah and astrology is explored in depth.
The major arcana, court cards, and number cards are each studied in detail, as
subsystems of the tarot. A range of experiential exercises make connections
between the symbolic content of the cards and one's personal, intuitive
responses.
Learn to tap the potential of the tarot as a multi-purpose spiritual tool,
and enrich your divination practice.
Tom Waters (Starweaver) has been teaching at Ardantane since 2003, where he
is presently dean of the School of Magic & Witchcraft. He is a Wiccan priest,
and co-author of Understanding the Tarot Court.
Starweaver has served on the Ardantane board of directors since 2002. At
various times, he has been active in the Unitarian Universalist church, the
Coyote Willow chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans in
Albuquerque, and the international tarot community. We has presented workshops at
the World Tarot Congress in Chicago and the Toronto Tarot Symposium.
Starweaver has degrees in physics and computer science, and holds a PhD in
astronomy. He has worked as a university professor and technical writer, and
is currently a health physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. His
hobbies include cooking, gardening, and artwork.
