Fundraising
Got an idea for a fundraising event, such as a garage sale, car cleaning,
bake sale? Contact _publicity at ardantane.org_ (mailto:publicity at ardantane.org)
, and we'll advertise it here. (see above for an example)
Right now the bank owns most of Ardantane's land: 25 acres in the gorgeous
Red Rocks area of northern New Mexico’s Jemez Mountains, with National Forest
on two sides.
By raising $120,000 we can pay off the bank mortgage and save about $60,000
in interest over the next few years. Once we buy out the remaining staff
shares (interest-free!), then the whole thing will belong to Ardantane, Inc. –
and to all of us in the Pagan community, and to our children, and our
descendants.

What: Rites of Change: Making Ritual
Sponsor: School of Magic and Witchcraft
When: Sat-Sun Jun 2-3
Where: Ardantane
Instructors: Amber K & Rowan
Here's your chance to learn from the lady who wrote the book! (i.e.,
Ritualcraft, by Amber K and Azrael Arynn K.) Sort of like learning how to play
drums from Mickey Hart, or method acting from Konstantin Stanislavsky. Who can
pass up a chance like that?
This course provides a comprehensive groundwork in the ways, whys, and
wherefores of pagan ritual. We explore the many different types of ritual:
solitary personal rituals, group magickal working, seasonal celebrations, and rites
of passage. Specific topics include the preparation of altars and the use of
symbolism, rituals for people of mixed religious orientation, the
astrological timing of ritual, effective invocation of deity, how to engage the ritual
participants in the process, and as well as the basics of creating sacred
space and focusing energy. Participants will keep a journal throughout the
weekend and design and perform their own ritual using ideas drawn from the workshop.
Amber K is the author of True Magick, Ritualcraft, and other books on the
Craft and magick. She is also the Executive Director of Ardantane and serves on
its faculty. Amber has been a professional Training Specialist for the
federal government, commercial and non-profit organizations, religious
organizations, and the enterprises of an Indian Pueblo.
Rowan (Laura Liles) has been involved in the pagan/Wiccan community in
northern New Mexico since 1986. A third degree initiate in the Ladywoods
tradition, and former HPS of Our Lady of the Woods coven in Los Alamos, New Mexico,
she currently serves Our Lady of the Woods as its herald and merchant. She
has a keen interest in group and individual ritual as a vehicle for
transformation and growth.
