Cedar (the Beavers lunch chef) is planning a yard sale for the Ardantane
Land Fund on Saturday, May 19 in Los Alamos. You can call her at 662-7072 to
drop off donations or to arrange pick up in the Los Alamos/White Rock area.
Donations to Ardantane are tax deductible.

Fundraising
Got an idea for a fundraising event, such as a garage sale, car cleaning,
bake sale? Contact _publicity at ardantane.org_ (mailto:publicity at ardantane.org)
, and we'll advertise it here. (see above for an example)
Right now the bank owns most of Ardantane's land: 25 acres in the gorgeous
Red Rocks area of northern New Mexico’s Jemez Mountains, with National Forest
on two sides.
By raising $120,000 we can pay off the bank mortgage and save about $60,000
in interest over the next few years. Once we buy out the remaining staff
shares (interest-free!), then the whole thing will belong to Ardantane, Inc. –
and to all of us in the Pagan community, and to our children, and our
descendants.

What: Astrology for Pagans,
Sponsor: School of Magic and Witchcraft
When: Sat-Sun May 19-20
Where: Ardantane
Instructors: Tom Little (Seusomon Starweaver) and Rowan of Our Lady of the
Woods
A personal note from Rowan:

If you've studied astrology as an intellectual exercise, you need to take
this class. It will open your eyes to the night sky the way the ancients saw
it. An astrological chart will never be lines on paper to you again!

Yes, I know I'm the co-teacher, but last year's class made me see thing I'd
never seen before, despite studying astrology intellectually for many years.
I'm excited to be participating again this year.

If you're intrigued by astrology, but find the terminology and complications
daunting, this class is for you. We will explore astrological concepts in a
down-to-earth pagan way: our experience of the night sky, our relationships
with the planetary deities, and our awareness of the shifting energies around
us. We will look at personality evaluation using birth charts, and an
astrological divination practice using transits. The relevance of astrology for
pagan spiritual practice is emphasized. Includes outdoor skywatching Saturday
night.
Tom Little (Seusomon Starweaver) has been teaching at Ardantane since 2003,
where he is presently dean of the School of Magic & Witchcraft. He is a
Wiccan priest, co-author of Understanding the Tarot Court, and founder and
headmaster of Prism Wheel teaching coven in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Seusomon Starweaver has served on the Ardantane board of directors since
2002. At various times, he has been active in the Unitarian Universalist
church, the Coyote Willow chapter of the Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans
in Albuquerque, and the international tarot community. We has presented
workshops at the World Tarot Congress in Chicago and the Toronto Tarot Symposium.
Seusomon Starweaver has degrees in physics and computer science, and holds
a PhD in astronomy. He has worked as a university professor and technical
writer, and is currently a health physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory.
His hobbies include cooking, gardening, and artwork.
Rowan (Laura Liles) has been involved in the pagan/Wiccan community in
northern New Mexico since 1986. A third degree initiate in the Ladywoods
tradition, and former HPS of Our Lady of the Woods coven in Los Alamos, New Mexico,
she currently serves Our Lady of the Woods as its herald and merchant. She is
a self taught astrologer with a lively curiosity about the effects of the
stars on both groups and individuals.
