Water Treatment System Fundraising
Got an idea for a fundraising event, such as a garage sale, car cleaning,
bake sale? Contact _publicity at ardantane.org_ (mailto:publicity at ardantane.org)
, and we’ll advertise it here.
Ardantane students need showers and toilets. Ardantane needs a water
treatment system. The Ardantane Board of Directors has decided that this needs to
be a high priority, and that all fundraising efforts in New Mexico will be
directed toward this. The goal is to get a state-of-the art treatment and
purification system installed this summer.
After use, greywater and black-water will be purified and then go to a “
green space” behind La Casa (across the road from Hawk Haven), to water trees,
gardens, and a small grassy area that can be used for outdoor classes or
rituals. The total cost of the system will run nearly $20,000, according to Dave
Raue, local water system contractor.
The system will be attached to “La Casa,” the staff residence, and the
restroom/shower facilities there will be opened to all students, volunteers, and
visitors.

Details for the next class:
What: To Elements of Communication
Sponsor: School of Pagan Leadership
When: Sat Apr 7
Where: Ardantane
Instructors: Scott Lamont
Interpersonal communication is often taken for granted, without
acknowledging the complex processes at work. Without understanding the basic principles
of communication, you may find that what you want to say is not what is heard,
or that what you perceive is not what was intended, situations which can be
disastrous for magickal groups. This brief workshop will provide insight into
your processes and patterns, and those of others you may interact with using
a Pagan framework for understanding communication styles and preferences
based upon the Elemental model. It has been said that "You cannot not
communicate". Find out how to function effectively within the seeming strictures of
this truism.
Scott Chisholm Lamont has been a lifelong pagan. First called by the Goddess
in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies as a young teen, he has been
exploring and expanding his magickal skills in healing, environmental and political
activism, and community building ever since. A Wiccan Priest in the West
Coast Eclectic Tradition, he has taught at the coven and community level, as
well as for Ardantane. He is the High Priest of the Circle of the Winter Moon,
and a nursing educator at UNM Hospitals. A certified mediator and trained
consensus facilitator, he is currently working on a teaching resource for the use
of consensus by formal organizations. He can be reached at
_fireheart at thuntek.net_ (mailto:fireheart at thuntek.net) .
