Details for the next class:
Sat-Sun Mar. 17-18 The Art of Divination Ardantane
Tom & Karen Taylor Magickal Arts
The divinatory arts give us insight into our situations, our endeavors, and
ourselves. This weekend intensive offers a broad survey of divinatory tools
and practices. Learn to use oracles such as tarot, runes, and I Ching; work
with scrying methods such as crystal gazing; develop your intuitive capacity
and learn to receive wisdom from animals, plants, and places. Students who have
their own favorite divination tool or method are encouraged to bring it with
them and share with the class. Beyond the "how to" aspects, the class will
also touch on divination ethics, how to maintain a strong divination practice o
ver time, and the different challenges presented by reading for oneself and
for others.
Tom Little (Starweaver) has been teaching at Ardantane since 2003, where he
is presently dean of the School of Magickal Arts. He is a Wiccan priest,
co-author (with Mary K. Greer) of Understanding the Tarot Court.Tom has served on
the Ardantane board of directors since 2002. At various times, he has been
active in the Unitarian Universalist church, the Coyote Willow chapter of the
Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans in Albuquerque, Prism Wheel teaching
coven in Santa Fe, and the international tarot community. We has presented
workshops at the World Tarot Congress in Chicago and the Toronto Tarot
Symposium.
Tom has degrees in physics and computer science, and holds a PhD in
astronomy. He has worked as a university professor and technical writer, and is
currently a health physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory. His hobbies
include cooking, gardening, and artwork.
Karen Taylor is a Professional Animal Communicator, Essential Oil
Practitioner and Usui Reiki Master. She has been practicing energy work since 1998 and
is based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Karen assists clients in the U.S. and
abroad by facilitating conversation between people and animals to help deepen
their relationships.
