Executive Director Goes Full-Time
Amber K, Executive Director of Ardantane Pagan Learning Center, has resigned her day job as a Training Specialist for the Pueblo of Pojoaque in order to work full-time for Ardantane. Her last day at Pojoaque will be July 31.
Amber has been working for Ardantane part-time at an annual salary of ten dollars. The career change
will allow her to work for Ardantane essentially full-time, although she plans to keep writing books
with her partner Azrael. Her salary will not change.?
"This change will allow me to do a more thorough job for Ardantane," Amber says. "It's really only possible because Azrael is going to keep her salaried job for the present." Azrael works as a technical writer by day, as well as fulfilling the responsibilities of Facilities Director and Dean of the School of Sacred Living for Ardantane,
and co-writing books with Amber.
What will Amber focus on, with all this "extra time?" "Networking, fund-raising, staffing, publicity, and a lot more,"
she says. "And getting in better shape."?Oh, the beagle thing? Amber's nickname as Executive Director
is "Head Beagle," a position once held by Snoopy in the Peanuts comic strip.
