>From Amber -- July Beaver days!

Wednesday, July 4 (Yeah, it's Independence Day--you can still watch
fireworks that night)
Wednesday, July 11
Saturday, July 14
Wednesday, July 18
Sunday, July 22
Wednesday, July 25

We'll get started at 8:00 am (you can arrive later if you need to) and work
as long as feels good. Free cold beverages and lunch, and $35 in Beaver Bucks
for those who work 6 hours.

Ladder teams will be trimming and taping seams, and high teams will be
putting on the rubberized roofing compound and installing more panels.

Only 25 panels to fill on the present level, and then we'll be down to the
final level and installing the windows, doors, and final panels!

Let's make this the year we finish the Dome--Ardantane's first major
classroom and multipurpose building! Please come help!

I've been getting a flock of registrations this past two weeks! This is
great!
If you plan to take a class, register at least a month ahead if at all
possible. Otherwise, you run the risk that the class you are interested in won't
be held, because the teachers don't know about your interest until it is too
late.

Fundraising
Got an idea for a fundraising event, such as a garage sale, car cleaning,
bake sale? Contact _publicity at ardantane.org_ (mailto:publicity at ardantane.org)
, and we'll advertise it here. (see above for an example)
Right now the bank owns most of Ardantane's land: 25 acres in the gorgeous
Red Rocks area of northern New Mexico’s Jemez Mountains, with National Forest
on two sides.
By raising $120,000 we can pay off the bank mortgage and save about $60,000
in interest over the next few years. Once we buy out the remaining staff
shares (interest-free!), then the whole thing will belong to Ardantane, Inc. –
and to all of us in the Pagan community, and to our children, and our
descendants.

What: Ethics for Pagan Leaders: The Good, the Bad, and the Muggley

Sponsor: School of Pagan leadership
When: Sat-Sun Jul 21-22
Where: Ardantane
Instructors: Amber K and Scott Lamont

How do we know when we are leading or participating with honesty, integrity,
and honor? What guidelines can light our way through the murky landscape of
Pagan relationships and politics? How do Pagan standards of ethical behavior
differ from those in the muggle world that surrounds us, and how are they the
same? Join is for a weekend of lively discussion, scenarios familiar and
unfamiliar, exercises and resources. Discuss both ethical theory and the
application of theory to situational ethics. Emerge with your path more clearly
marked, by your own hand and heart. Along the way: gorgeous scenery, tasty
snacks and beverages, fun companions on the journey of discovery.
Amber K is the author of Covencraft, True Magick, and other books on magick
and Paganism; she has been a Wiccan priestess for 25 years, was First
National Officer of Covenant of the Goddess for three terms, and is nationally known
as a Craft teacher.
Scott Chisholm Lamont has been a lifelong pagan. First called by the Goddess
in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies as a young teen, he has been
exploring and expanding his magickal skills in healing, environmental and political
activism, and community building ever since. A Wiccan Priest in the West
Coast Eclectic Tradition, he has taught at the coven and community level, as
well as for Ardantane. He is the High Priest of the Circle of the Winter Moon,
and a nursing educator at UNM Hospitals. A certified mediator and trained
consensus facilitator, he is currently working on a teaching resource for the use
of consensus by formal organizations. He can be reached at
