Our Lady of the Woods will be celebrating the sabbat of Yule at the Los
Alamos Unitarian Church at 6pm on Sunday, December 17. The ritual will be a
celebration of all kinds of winter fun, from ice skating to sledding, and
everything in between, followed by some major weather magick to make it all happen!
A potluck feast follows the ceremony, please bring a dish or beverage to
share.
>From our website _www.ladywoods.org_ (http://www.ladywoods.org/) --
The light returns! The new sun king is reborn! The Holly King gives way to
the Oak King and we rejoice. Yule is one of the oldest festivals, celebrating
the pivotal point at which daylight begins to wax. It is a time of hope and
gathering, a time to celebrate our humanity, compassion, and kindness, to offer
our good cheer to all. And, perhaps to visit with some unique characters
like Mother Berchta. The ritual will be followed by a fine pot luck feast.
